As part of the 15th year anniversary in China, Linde (China) will hold the Green Purchasing Seminar Series and various customer events across China this year. Together with the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry (CAEPI) and British Standard Institute (BSI), this event was officially kicked-off in Suzhou on May 17, 2008.

Head of Suzhou Environmental Protection Association, Mr. Chen Tiemin, commended Linde (China)’s effort in environmental protection and playing close attention to EHS in product design and development. He also encouraged more companies to follow in the path of Linde (China). In the seminar, BSI’s trainer also shared some tips on Green Purchasing and some case studies on the EHS benefits. Linde (China) also took the chance to share the various EHS considerations in our products and solutions. Additionally, representative from Canadian Solar Inc. also shared their company’s green efforts.

Mr. CP Quek, CEO of Linde (China), expressed that “As the leading player in the industry, and in conjunction with our 15 year anniversary in China, we want to continuously contribute to the sustainable development of society. Therefore, we want to educate our customers on the advantages and benefits that we offer in our products. By reducing emissions, saving energy, and through efficiency gains – we contribute to environmental quality. With our ergonomic design, reduced human vibrations, and optimized number of steps to accomplish each task – we contribute to the health and safety of the operators.”

This event attracted more than 500 people including family members who enjoyed the German style meal and German beer, various performances and games, handicrafts, and forklift truck show. The event attracted various local media and industry media.
