24 teams representing their companies were involved in this round.
The competition was made up of three parts: Speed Round, Skill Round and Endurance Round.
Participants finished a series of challenging actions driving one of the two new Linde truck models introduced this year - the E-generation Twin Trucks of 3.0T diesel truck and 3.0T electric truck. The audiences were greatly impressed and responded with passionate applauses.
The first part - Speed Round, tested contestants¡¯ speed in moving and piling up 5 pallets. The only team of two lady contestants from Shijiazhuang Synthetic Fibre Ltd surprised everyone with their top speed and performance.
The second part ¨C ¡°Lighting the lighter¡±, tested contestants¡¯ speed, direction-control and skill in driving a forklift truck to complete the action of lighting the lighter, without crushing the lighter. With one contestant driving the truck and the other monitoring & directing the operation, both the handling skill and team spirit was clearly demonstrated.
The third part ¨C Skill Round, tested contestants¡¯ speed and skill in handling apples. Using the metal rod fixed on the fork, contestants removed the apples hung by ropes at 1.5 metre high, and hung them onto the hooks at the opposite side of the event ground. The windy weather posed greater challenge to the contestants and also made the competition more thrilling.
