10 teams of contestants participated in the three programs "handling pallets within time limit", "passing across hindrance with drivers' eyes covered" and ¡°handling apples¡±, and teams with the highest accumulated score will be the winner.
"Before coming to this competition, our company selected us, two most skillful forklift truck drivers and conducted for us a one-week off-job training. That's why we are full of confidence today", says contestants from YCH (Tianjin) Logistics Co., Ltd.
CMI Tianjin Logistics Center has given their greatest support for this competition in providing the event ground and two newly purchased Linde trucks as competition trucks. "This competition helps logistics enterprises improve their efficiency and overall service levels. Our workers' excellent skills are also well-demonstrated", says Wu, General Manager of CMI Tianjin Logistics Center.
In the program "handling pallets within time limit", with the team leader guiding by the side, contestants from Tianjin YCH Logistics Co., Ltd showed off their excellent skills by a series of sequential and smooth actions ¨C forward, backward, lifting, taking corners etc.
"We now have more than 20 Linde trucks in operation. Considering Linde trucks¡¯ material handling effectiveness, we set upon our staff high standards while operating the trucks. This really enhanced efficiency, productivity and prolonged the life of these trucks. Every driver is also asked to make a pre-check, and necessary mast and fork carriage adjustments prior to operating the truck every morning. This explains our team members all-rounded performance today", says Manager Zhang, team leader of YCH (Tianjin) Logistics Co., Ltd.
In the program "passing across hindrance with drivers' eyes covered", having sufficiently prepared beforehand, contestants from CMI Tianjin Logistics Center demonstrated their speed and team spirit - finally winning them the second prize.
In the "handling apples" program, the micro-level control advantage of Linde truck is well manifested in contestants' series of actions of handling apples. Under contestants' control, a forklift truck removed the apples hung by ropes one by one and then hung them onto the hooks at the opposite side of the event ground, really bringing lots of excitement to the audience.
After a 3-hour fierce competition, the winners who will qualify for the regional level competition are as follows:
